“Levski” would OFI in Novi Sad

Bulgaria’s men’s volleyball champion “Levski” came close to defending its trophy from last year in the tournament in memory of the famous Serbian volleyball players Zharko Petrovic and Radovan Dabić “Memorial Velikana” in Novi Sad.

The boys of head coach Nikolay Zhelyazkov also won their second meeting. After the success over the hosts from “Vojvodina” they turned to 3:1 (24:26, 25:20, 25:23, 25:16) over the Greek OFI (Crete).

Thus, the “blues” recorded a victory in their 6th pre-season control.

Venislav Antov played a strong match against OFI. The 20-year-old diagonal scored 21 points (5 aces, 3 blocks). Vladimir Garkov added 19 points (1 ace, 1 block), and Julius Firkal scored 16.

In their last match, the “blues” play on Sunday against the Romanian “Arcade” and with a victory they will guarantee to win the tournament this year as well.
