The Volants d’Ouveillan, a newcomer to the village’s sports clubs, made their debut in the town’s sports hall this Thursday, September 12 at 8 p.m.
For Maryline the president, it is a question of “of a badminton club that has a recreational vocation for all those who want to take up this sport in a progressive manner, without the idea of competition at the moment, but rather of friendly matches. It is aimed at all levels and includes young people from 12 years old”. The first registrants, already numerous, easily filled the three courts made available to them. A teacher playing at a professional level will come from Béziers to give lessons once a month. The office is composed, in addition to Maryline the president, of Aurélie Riesenmey, the treasurer, and Aline the secretary.
The game times are Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Registration, accompanied by a medical certificate for the practice of this sport, costs €50 for young people aged 12 to 18, and €80 for adults. Interested persons have two trial sessions before registering.
