International Baseball Exchange Promotes Youth Development

SANTO DOMINGO, RD – The Leones de Chaca Baseball League recently completed a sports exchange program with Bedford Little League Baseball, based in the United States. The exchange took place at the Rojas Alou stadium in Santo Domingo Este.

The program involved baseball games across four age divisions: 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, and 16-17 years old.

Third Exchange Highlights Growing Partnership

Alberto Joaquín (Chaca), president of the Leones de Chaca League, emphasized this marked the third exchange between the two organizations. He described Bedford Little League Baseball as a baseball entity where Latin athletes of various nationalities converge, located in Harry Park, Bronx County, Latest York.

The exchange was held in conjunction with the 14th annual Independence Baseball Cup festivities.

Collaboration and Community Involvement

The initiative was organized by Alberto Joaquín (Chaca) and Dominican coach Wilson Gutiérrez. Gutiérrez led a delegation of over 60 individuals, including players, coaches, and parents.

Gutiérrez reported that the delegation engaged in a rigorous schedule of exchanges with various provincial leagues, including visits to Santiago, Sabana Iglesia, San Francisco de Macorís, and several other municipalities across the Dominican Republic.

The Bedford Little League delegation visited municipalities including Fantino (Cotuí), Baní, La Vega, Moca, Santo Domingo Este, Puerto Plata, Loma de Cabrera, and Haina.
