Newly crowned French parabadminton champion Vaurayen Maxime Greboval has been in Nantes for several weeks in a federal structure that will allow him to progress.
It’s a new beginning for the parabadminton player from Lavaur. The 22-year-old sportsman has joined the new Parabadminton Performance Center in Nantes from September 2024, which is licensed by the Volunt d’Aux Vaureuen. From now on, Maxime Greboval has dedicated his life to badminton! The 22-year-old athlete said, “I’ve been trying to get into that kind of structure for years; And when it was offered to me, I didn’t hesitate, I said yes!” he said. Training 30 hours a week by Maxime Greboval, everything now revolves around badminton, along with six other residents of the structure, including Paris Olympic champion Charles Noakes. “We work a lot on technique and movement, but there are special sessions on mental preparation, how to manage stress and emotions, for example on body building and strengthening,” explains Tarnes.
Three French championships
For him, his goal is clear: to improve and become one of the best parabadminton players in the world. This does not stop him from thinking about continuing his math studies. “I want to win the European and World Cups and I want to participate in the next games in Los Angeles in 2028,” he said. And it has already started: 8 days ago Maxime Greboval won three French championships (individuals, doubles and mixed doubles) for the first time in Valence (Dorme). Although French parabadminton star Charles Noakes was not in the south of France, these medals gave Maxime Greboval a big boost. The next stage is the European Championships in 2025. Last year Vaurain was eliminated in the quarter finals. After a few months, he will be interested in doing something better. Scheduled.
