The youngest of the big yellow family took their first steps in the world of basketball.
The schools of the Gran Canaria Basketball Club started a new year full of enthusiasm. At the beginning of the classes, boys and girls gradually joined to become the foundation of the club’s big family of players. Little kids at home take their first steps in these schools designed to introduce them to basketball.
Once again, the club is committed to instilling and passing on the values of sport, especially basketball, to boys and girls from different centers of the island. This network of schools will work again to instill values such as friendship, effort and camaraderie through the game of basketball.
Until the end of May, this extracurricular activity comes to many educational centers on the island. In particular, the club is in the German Official School, Salesianos, Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, Claret Corazón de María School, Nanda Cambres, San Juan Bosco, Giner de los Ríos, Iberia, Guanarteme School, San José FESD, Marpe, Oakley, and the La Vega de San José School.
The club’s basketball initiation school opened at Marpe Altavista School. In addition, the event is continued at Oakley College and the club will continue to work actively with centers such as Colegio Iberia, aiming to bring basketball to as many boys and girls as possible.
