Saga Asia Dreams Pioneers Baseball Academy in Cambodia
Saga Asia Dreams Set to Open Groundbreaking Academy
Saga Prefecture’s professional baseball team, Saga Asia Dreams, is making history by opening the Dreams Baseball Academy Cambodia School on January 16, 2026. This will be the world’s first baseball academy led by a non-private Japanese professional baseball team in Asia, where baseball is still developing.
Cambodia: A Strategic Choice for Baseball Development
The academy will be located in Kampong Thom province, central Cambodia, at a private school that already integrates baseball into physical education classes. The school’s focus on sports education aligns perfectly with Dreams’ vision.
“Starting in Cambodia, where sports opportunities are scarce, and then expanding to other countries – that’s our plan. We aim to foster teamwork and ethics through Japanese-style baseball, creating an environment for children to become independent professionals.”
— Yoshihito Kazuki, Director of Dreams Baseball Academy Cambodia School
