The Koudougou Higher Institute of Management organized a special defense session on October 18 and 19, 2024. It concerned students who had completed the theoretical courses years ago and who had not been able to complete the course for various reasons.
To obtain his master’s degree in management and project management, Perfect Babine defended his dissertation on the theme: “Contribution of the Union of groupings
women/Ce Dwane Nyee (UGF/CDN) to the development of the commune of Réo through the empowerment of women in the province of Sanguié”.
Very impressed, the jury chaired by Professor André Conseibo, awarded it a score of 18/20 with the mention very good. It emerges from her work that the production of shea butter is a lever that allows women to make a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of Réo.
However, the structure would benefit from expanding its network by integrating butter producers from neighboring localities in the municipality. As for Wendinmy Casimir Tiendrébéogo, he
is admitted for the professional license in management and management of local authorities with a score of 16.50/20.
His work focused on “Territorial socio-economic development:
analysis of the contribution of the Central-West regional council”. According to the president of the jury, Germain Ouali, it is rigor, respect for the methodology and
the candidate’s performance which motivated the mark. Like these two applicants, there are 24 of them who presented the results of their research to the ISMK.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of ISMK, Dr Abdoulaye
Séré, also a teacher-researcher at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS), the defenses of this start of the academic year are those that have remained unanswered
for years for various reasons.
“We have set up an ad hoc commission with 17 teacher-supervisors chaired by Dr Germain Ouali to rule on the cases, understand why the student is unable to support and evacuate them,” he said. These defenses are therefore the culmination of the work of this commission, otherwise the classic defenses remain and take place in December, March and July. Dr Séré was delighted with the smooth progress and thanked his colleagues who came, among others, from the Joseph-Ki-Zerbo universities in Ouagadougou and Nazi Boni universities in Bobo-Dioulasso.
“Diplomas recognized by CAMES”
Listening to his PCA, the ISMK since its creation has already trained more than 3,000 people to whom he also said thank you for choosing his institute for their university course. Mr. Séré indicated that his establishment has enjoyed national recognition since its creation and which should not be confused with the recognition of the African and Malagasy Council for
higher education (CAMES). Indeed, he explained, the recognition
national shows that the State has accepted your diplomas, is committed to consuming them.
“CAMES is a second step and thank God today, ISMK diplomas are recognized by CAMES,” he said. For a long time, noted Dr. Séré, many did not know that even diplomas from public universities are not recognized by CAMES. “It is a process and an approach to follow and, whether we are a public or private university, we are obliged to do so if we want recognition,” he insisted.
Séré: “the ISMK diplomas are
recognized by CAMES and are valid everywhere else.”
In his opinion, there is even a third step which is the recognition of UNESCO and the ISMK is included in the world directory of this institution. We are in a
good dynamic because the reports from the ministry in charge of higher education awarded a score of 17.54/20 to the ISMK which occupies 7th place in the national ranking and 1st in the Centre-West region, faith of the PCA.
