Iconic Pitcher Joins Roster

Team USA has bolstered its roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic with the additions of legendary pitcher Clayton Kershaw and power hitter Alex Bregman. The news comes as the tournament’s governing body announced the updated roster on January 15.

“We’re thrilled to have Clayton on board,” said Team USA Manager Mark DeRosa. “His experience and skills will be invaluable to our team.”

Meet the Pitching Staff

The pitching staff, already featuring reigning Cy Young winners Tarik Skubal and Paul Skenes, now boasts three Cy Young awards with Kershaw’s inclusion.

Opening Game and Schedule

The tournament starts on March 5, with Team USA playing in Pool B against Great Britain, Mexico, and Italy at Houston’s Daikin Park. Quarterfinals begin on March 13 in Houston and Miami, followed by the semifinals and finals in Miami’s loanDepot Park from March 15 onwards.
