A new blow hits the Women’s Football Selection from Chile. Through her social media accounts, Karen Araya, a prominent member of the team, announced that she will not be able to join the final training session for the Santiago Panamerican Games 2023, and will instead return to her club.
Disappointment and Gratitude
“This was supposed to be a celebratory post, acknowledging the possibility of winning a gold medal, but unfortunately, it is not the case,” Araya expressed her disappointment.
The current Madrid FC midfielder shared her sadness with a somber emoticon, acknowledging the loss in the final match of Santiago 2023.
Despite the setback, Araya highlighted the positive aspects of her participation in the Games, stating, “I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience the Panamericanos in Chile.”
