Justin Rose Reveals He Turned Down LIV Golf’s Millions
Englishman Rejects Lucrative Offer from Saudi-Backed League
In an unexpected revelation, former Olympic gold medalist and World No. 1 Justin Rose disclosed that he had been approached by LIV Golf with a multimillion-dollar offer. However, he chose to decline the proposal, opting to stay with the PGA Tour.
“I’ve been offered fortunes to go and play there [LIV Golf], and it’s not for me,” Rose stated, responding to a journalist’s question during a press conference.
Rose Praises PGA Tour’s Benefits and Lifestyle
Rose, who joined the PGA Tour in 1999, expressed his appreciation for the tour’s organization and the lifestyle it affords him. He clarified that while the money offered by LIV Golf was tempting, the grass wasn’t necessarily greener on the other side.
“I’m very grateful for the lifestyle the PGA Tour gives me. It’s a phenomenal tour, and I like the structure of it,”

The Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series, which commenced in June, has been aggressively courting top players from the PGA and European Tours with substantial financial incentives.
