“You did, after all it was your first important national judo competition, facing 6 matches and winning 4 of them.” Elia Coppari, at just 12, has made a challenging but promising start, securing the 5th place out of over 25 participants in his category at the National Rookies Trophy in Riccione.

Does he have what it takes to be the next big thing in judo? “It’s just the beginning,” Coach Coppari said, “But what a start!”

Olimpia Lammoglia: Bronze at National Rookies Trophy

Olimpia Lammoglia, another young judoka from Judo Samurai, recently clinched a bronze medal at the same National Rookies Trophy event. The bronze medal is just the latest addition to her growing collection, reinforcing Jesi’s judo scene.

Andrea Coppari: Triumph at the Grand Prix Masters

Not to be outshone, Andrea Coppari, Elia’s father, won the third place in the -90 category of the Grand Prix Master in Salerno. The tournament featured judokas from all over Italy, making his victory a notable achievement.

Francesco Papalini: Bronze at BMW Cup

The Judo Samurai’s success isn’t confined to national boundaries. Francesco Papalini, returning from Leipzig, Germany, where he competed in the BMW Cup against countries like Romania, Serbia, and Germany, brought home a well-deserved bronze medal.
