Macon Judo Club Athletes Compete at Bourgogne Franche Comté Championships
The Bourgogne Franche Comté championships saw impressive participation from athletes of the Mâcon Judo Club this past Sunday.
Regional Qualification and Competition
Several Mâcon Judo Club members earned their spots at the regional championships through strong performances at the Saône et Loire championships. Inès DEHAR and Noé POLLIER qualified by finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Minime Division Highlights
Inès DEHAR, the 2025 Bourgogne Franche Comté Champion, competed and secured a commendable 5th place finish after navigating the repechage.
Noé POLLIER faced a competitive -60kg category, ultimately being eliminated in the eighth finals.
Cadet Division Success
The competition also served as an opportunity for judokas vying for their 1st Dan black belt to gain valuable points towards their qualification.
Franck QUAGLIOZZI accumulated 37 points, whereas Valentin DEVILLE, competing as a cadet, earned 30 points. Judokas require a total of 100 points to validate their Unit of Value No. 3 (UV3) relating to combat effectiveness.
Recognizing Sportsmanship and Refereeing
Faustine ECAROT was recognized with a 9th-place ranking in the Young Sports Commissioner’s cup.
