Judo Club du Cap: Season Restart and Membership Information

The Cape Town Judo Club Resumes Season with Exciting Classes

The Cape Town Judo Club has recently restarted its season at the Clément Borel dojo, located in the Plouhinec intercommunal hall. Under the guidance of Frédéric Ansquer, a highly experienced judo teacher with a second dan black belt, classes are now being offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Classes for Children and Youngsters

On Fridays, from 5:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., the club offers a special judo awakening session for children aged 5 to 6. Additionally, regular judo classes are held on Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Unfortunately, due to staffing constraints, the Saturday slot has been temporarily discontinued.

Traditional Teaching with Core Values

The Cape Town Judo Club focuses on providing traditional judo teaching that instills important values and principles. The seven core values emphasized are friendship, courage, self-control, modesty, honor, respect, and sincerity.

Ju-Jitsu Sessions for Older Students and Adults

For individuals aged 14 and above, the club offers ju-jitsu sessions on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Ju-jitsu combines elements from three disciplines: judo, karate, and aikido, providing a comprehensive martial arts experience.

Join the Cape Town Judo Club

The club currently has around fifteen members, and there is still an opportunity to join. Until the end of the first week of October, interested individuals can participate in a discovery session to experience the club’s offerings firsthand.

Pass’Sport checks are accepted, allowing new members to benefit from a €50 subsidy when joining a sports club.
