Joaquim ‘Purito’ Rodriguez, a highly esteemed figure in Spanish cycling, has been appointed as the ambassador for the upcoming Gran Fondo and Clsica Jan Paraso Interior. The cycling tour and race are scheduled to take place from February 11 to 12, spanning from Baeza to Beda in Jan.

Purito, alongside notable cyclists such as Alejandro Valverde, Alberto Contador, Samuel Sánchez, and Scar Freire, belongs to the golden generation of Spanish cycling. His remarkable achievements include nine stage victories in the Vuelta a España, two stages in the Giro, and three stages in the Tour. He has consistently secured podium finishes in these prestigious three-week races.
Success in One-Day Races
Not only has the Catalan cyclist excelled in multi-stage races, but he has also demonstrated his prowess in one-day events. He clinched victory in the Flecha Wallonia and secured two wins in Lombardy. Additionally, he earned a silver medal at the 2013 Florence World Cups.
