Thanks to a superb card of 65, Jérémy Gandon made the cut for the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. Paul Barjon remains at the dock for the second week in a row.
For his first tournament of the season, Jeremy Gandon will be entitled to thirty-six additional holes! The 28-year-old from Drômois had seemed a little rusty for the launch of his 2025 season, with ten initial pars and a first card of 74. But his second round (played in two days due to darkness) was dazzling with nine birdies for two bogeys (including a last one on his 36th hole). With a card of 65, the former resident of Kansas State University will start his third round in 45th place, with a score of -5.
New failure for Barjon
Like last week, Paul Barjon stops after two tours in the Bahamas. The adopted New Caledonian was in the race to make the cut after his first card of 69, but his second round of 74 was crippling. Despite a total score under par (-1), Barjon remains three lengths too short to snatch the cut set at -4 on the course of the Abaco Club in Winding Bay. Before the third round which will start today in an attempt to finish on Thursday as planned, a trio took the lead with the Americans Justin Suh et Davis Chatfieldalongside the South African Christo Lamprecht (-11).
Brutal 360° lip-out 😩
Even with a lip-out birdie on his 18th hole, Christo Lamprecht leads by one (-11) @BahamasKFTour.
