The Jangam-dong Community Center (Director Lee Jae-jin) in Uijeongbu City announced that it operated the ‘Happy Healthy Senior Center’ program to promote the health of the elderly at the Jangam Public Housing Complex 1 Senior Center on August 21. The goal of this program is to visit the senior centers in Jangam-dong to thoroughly check the health status of the elderly and provide health management services tailored to those at high risk for metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases.

At this event, we thoroughly checked the major health indicators of the elderly, such as blood sugar and cholesterol, and provided personalized health management methods through individualized consultations. In addition, we plan to provide customized management through continuous monitoring for the elderly who are judged to be at risk for health.

In particular, a member of the Jangam-dong Community Security Council, who is currently working as a yoga instructor, donated her talents to teach customized yoga for the elderly and exercise using a belt (band). She received a great response by organizing the movements so that even elderly people with limited mobility could easily participate.

On this day, Lee Jae-jin, the head of the neighborhood, visited the event in person to encourage the elderly and deliver sponsored items. Im Deok-jin, the general manager of the Jangam Public Housing Complex 1 Senior Citizens’ Center, said, “I am very grateful that the staff of the community center and the head of the neighborhood came to visit and take good care of the elderly.”
