Over 100 Golfers Compete in Ivorian National Championships
The national golf championships launched in early April in Yamoussoukro, marking a significant moment for Côte d’Ivoire’s golf scene. More than 100 participants, including around twenty professionals, gathered to compete, displaying the unwavering commitment of the Ivorian Federation of Golf (Fig) to promoting sporting excellence in the country.
Unveiling Ivorian Golfing Talent
This event is part of a robust preselection process designed to uncover the country’s best golf talents and prepare them for upcoming African competitions. The first phase of the preselection has already highlighted several promising players:
- Kouakou Richard (+1) among young professionals
- Soumahoro Marcel (+4) among veterans
- A. Chantal, leading the women’s rankings
These performances underscore the depth and diversity of Côte d’Ivoire’s golf talent pool and underscore the nation’s ambition to excel across all categories on the continental stage.
