IOWA CITY, Iowa — After a tough West Coast road trip, the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team (18-4, 9-2 Big Ten) returns home to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers (17-6, 5-6 Big Ten) on Thursday.

We’re excited to be back home and have our fans’ support. We’ve had some bright spots on the road, and now it’s time to build on those and pick up a win against a tough Minnesota team.

The 10th-ranked Hawkeyes lost both their games on the West Coast trip but saw promising performances from freshmen. Journey Houston scored a career-high 16 points against USC, while Ava Heiden dropped 19 points in the second half against UCLA.
