Cyclones Maintain High Standards in the Classroom
In another stellar performance off the field, Iowa State Cyclones student-athletes have set a new grade point average (GPA) record. With a collective 3.38 GPA in the fall semester, they’ve continued their trend of academic excellence.
“Seventeen Cyclone teams posted a GPA above 3.00 in the fall, and 60 student-athletes finished the semester with a perfect 4.00 GPA,” said Iowa State’s Director of Athletics, Jamie Pollard. The Cyclones’ commitment to balancing academics and athletics is truly remarkable.
Impressive Statistics
- 81% of student-athletes maintained a 3.0 or better GPA.
- 194 student-athletes made the Dean’s List, and 369 were scholar-athletes.
- Current Cyclone student-athletes hold a 3.36 GPA.
Iowa State held its fall graduation ceremony last week, where 29 student-athletes earned their degrees, further cementing their commitment to academic success.
