“We should have done better, our game always passes through our attackers who were lacking a bit today. It’s not an excuse: it was just the boys, they just have to improve and for two young players it’s good to play this type of match. It wasn’t the match in which to take away certainties from this group. But we all should have made better use of the episodes in our favour.”

The coach also briefly commented on a controversial handball decision, deferring to the officials.

“There’s a Var and an Avar who made a check, I think… I have nothing to say. I think about the performance and my mistakes.”
