Independiente Medellin Defeats Atletico Nacional in Classic Match

Second Leg of Betplay-2 League Quadrangular Semifinals

Independiente Medellin emerged victorious against Atletico Nacional with a score of 2-1 in the classic match of the Betplay-2 League quadrangular semifinals.

The red team took the lead with an own goal by Sergio Mosquera in the 5th minute, followed by a goal from Brayan Leon in the 26th minute. Leon scored from the penalty spot after Joaquin Varela was fouled. The score was 2-0 in favor of Independiente Medellin.

Independiente Medellin dominated the game and their goalkeeper Harlen Castillo made several crucial saves to deny Atletico Nacional any goals.

Atletico Nacional faced early setbacks as Dorlan Pabon was sent off in the 22nd minute, following a decision by referee Wilmar Roldan. Diego Londono of Independiente Medellin was also later sent off with a double yellow card.

Atletico Nacional managed to score a consolation goal in injury time through Jader Gentil’s header from a corner kick.

This victory marks Independiente Medellin’s third consecutive win in the classic match, solidifying their position as the leader of Quadrangular B alongside Millonarios.
