Incheon Jung-gu Sports Association (Chairman Jang Hoon Jang) successfully held the ’20th Jung-gu Office Badminton Competition’ at the Incheon International Airport Sky Dome on the 10th (Sunday).
This competition was hosted by the Incheon Metropolitan City Jung-gu Sports Association (Chairman Jang Hoon Jang) and was held in cooperation with the Jung-gu Office and the Jung-gu Badminton Association.
In the competition, about 150 participants of various ages and abilities from 8 clubs of the Jung-gu Badminton Association participated and played a passionate game.
Prizes were awarded to players who achieved particularly excellent results. Above all, this competition was an opportunity to confirm the high level of passion and skills of the participants, and was able to further increase the interest and participation of local residents in badminton.
Through this competition, the Jung-gu Sports Council plans to emphasize the importance of various sports activities, including badminton, and continue to make efforts to improve the health of local residents and revitalize sports.
Meanwhile, key local figures such as Jung-gu Mayor Kim Jeong-heon, Jung-gu Council Chairman Lee Jong-ho, Jung-gu Sports Council Chairman Jang Jang-hoon, and Incheon City Badminton Association President Park Seong-gyu attended the competition.
In his congratulatory speech, Jung-gu Sports Council President Jang Jang-hoon said, “Through this competition, the Jung-gu Sports Council wanted to promote the health of local residents and revitalize physical education, while also providing a fun and meaningful time for many people who love badminton.”
He continued, “I am pleased to have held this meaningful event for the 20th time. “Jung-gu Sports Council will continue to support healthy lives in the local community through various sports programs,” he said.
Kim Young-je, president of the Jung-gu Badminton Association, said, “I hope that this tournament will be an opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle through badminton and bring harmony among local residents, regardless of whether the game is won or lost.”
He continued, “Jung-gu Badminton Association will continue to expand the local badminton base and create a healthy sports culture that many people can enjoy together.”
