The Mayor’s Office of Itagüí announced the availability of places in the kindergartens of its 24 official educational institutions. These spaces offer comprehensive care that includes school feeding, initial education, social and intellectual development activities, and play spaces. This program is designed for children from 2 years old and guarantees a single day, making the working life of parents or guardians easier.

To access these services, Families only need to reside in Itagüí and register at the nearest public educational institution. These kindergartens integrate children into the official system, ensuring educational continuity until basic secondary and technical secondary school.

Mayor Diego Torres highlighted that Itagüí is a pioneer in guaranteeing free public education from early childhood to university.

“With our scholarship program, we hope to impact nearly 10,000 students in this four-year period. Additionally, in alliance with the Digital University of Antioquia, we will offer face-to-face programs in technologies, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees,”

Torres stated.

The Mayor’s Office invited families with children between 2 and 5 years old to take advantage of the spaces available in the Child Development Centers, located in 18 locations distributed throughout the municipality. Registration can be done at the Family Secretariat, at the Municipal Administrative Center.
