Here’s one with no time to waste. Impressive in the Blazers’ victory against the weak Kings a few days ago, Toumani Camara did it again last night against the German team Ulm, for his 3rd NBA preseason match.
As always, the Belgian spent 35 minutes on the pitch, the 2nd most playing time for his team. Proof that even before the start of his 2nd NBA season, he seems to be important in the mind of his coach, Chauncey Billups.
In good shape, despite a shooting inaccuracy (5/15), Camara darkened the score sheet and even offered himself a nice double-double to finish: 15 points and 10 rebounds. Add to that 4 helpings and you have a delicious jack of all trades cocktail.
2nd most playing time, Camara also finished as 2nd best scorer, 2nd best rebounder… and 2nd best passer in his team. We have worse as a “warm-up” before the serious stuff starts next Tuesday.
A regular season that the Belgian should logically start as a starter. Because of injuries (Thybulle and Sharpe are not yet) and especially because for many months, he gave his coach complete satisfaction.
