“I really like the route. It starts in Italy, where I have good memories, and then goes for a large part of the north. We avoid that heat that we experienced during the first 10 days of this last edition”said the Movistar cyclist.
The Vuelta is part of Quintana’s plans, who will also bet on the Giro.
“Initially I plan to return to Spain, with Enric Mas. We have 2 time trials, which fortunately are not too long, where we can defend ourselves well.”
Personally, Quintana hopes to be at great heights in the Giro and then in the Spanish round that begins in Turin on August 23.
“In the Giro I will have a good opportunity and I want to take advantage of it, and then in the Vuelta. It is a goal of the team led by Mas. We have the Angliru, which is a very tough high finish, where many very important differences are always made”he explained.
The cyclist from Boyacá also highlighted the Madrid stage ending in the Bola del Mundo, the eve of arrival in Madrid.
