NBA Cup: schedule, dates, date
Each team must play exactly four games within the group – two at home and two away. These games are part of the normal 82-game regular season, but also count towards the NBA Cup. These games take place on a total of seven match days in November and December. These match days are played on Tuesday and Friday – in Germany almost always late in the evening or on Wednesday/Saturday night. So not every team is in action on every match day.
· 1st match day: November 13th (Wed), 8 games
· 2nd match day: November 16th (Sat), 12 games
· 3rd matchday: November 20th (Wed), 6 games
· 4th match day: November 23rd (Sat), 8 games
· 5th match day: November 27th (Wed), 5 games
· 6th matchday: 29/30 November (Fri/Sat), 10 games
· 7th matchday: December 4th (Wed), 11 games
The six group winners advance to the quarter-finals, and the two best runners-up also advance. To determine this, the direct comparison, the difference in points and finally the number of points scored count. In the unlikely event that there is still no clarity after this, the balance sheet from the last regular season comes into play and, as a last resort, a draw must be made.
From the quarter-finals onwards, the new champion will be determined in knockout mode. The semi-finals and final will be played in Las Vegas. The final will not be included in the regular season, so two teams will play a total of 83 games this season.
