“Holy Aperoly” at “Konrads” in Bad Hersfeld

On Thursday evening, the Protestant Martinskirche invites you to an after-work party at “Konrads” (Benno-Schilde-Platz 1). Planned by Vicar Lea Müller, there will be a pub quiz, live music with a DJ as well as drinks and snacks. Starts at 6 pm.

Flash mob dance in Bebra

Bebra Urban Development (SEB) invites you to a dance flash mob at the Bebra train station forecourt on Thursday evening at 6 pm. Organizers hope that many dance enthusiasts will join Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold’em.” There will be a short training session on site. The dance studio “Spotlight” from Bebra is there as a partner.

“Camper & Vans” – the trade fair for camping enthusiasts in the Fulda gallery

The “Camper & Vans” trade fair will open on September 26, 2024. Motorhomes, campers, vans, panel vans, caravans, small houses, bicycles and everything about camping are welcome. More than 60 exhibitors show what’s new. This year’s highlight: the self-builder camp. The exhibition center in Fulda has a unique off-road course where visitors can have fun with different vehicles and become interested in off-roading. Exhibitors also display available vehicles here. 34th Youth Country Cup


The 34th Youth Country Cup, the annual sporting highlight of the German Disabled Sports Youth (DBSJ), will take place this year in Bad Hersfeld. From September 27 to 30, young athletes from all over Germany will compete against each other in the disciplines of Para and ID Judo, Para Athletics, Para Swimming and Para Table Tennis. The sporting event will begin on Friday, September 27 at 8 pm with an opening ceremony in downtown Bad Hersfeld. Classifications and training sessions are on the Saturday program. Sunday is dedicated to the competition, where spectators are welcome to experience the top sporting performances of the young athletes who live in the Waldhessenhalle in Obersberg. The event will end with a celebratory award ceremony and a disco on Sunday evening.

Castle festival in Tannenburg

The 28th Castle Festival takes place on September 28 and 29 at Tannenburg in Nentershausen. It starts at 12 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Ancient crafts, minstrel music and more are offered and presented. Of course there will be food and drinks. Entrance costs 8 euros for adults and 4 euros for children a day. A weekend ticket costs 12 euros for adults, 6 euros for children. The organizer is the support association “Friends of Tannenburg”. More information is available HERE.

Clubless Cider Festival

The local council of Keulos, together with the owner of the village restaurant “Lindenhof”, organized the 2nd Keulos Cider Festival in the heated festival tent on September 28. Haimbach Carneval Club’s wine festival starts Saturday at 5 pm in the clubhouse. The highlight of the evening was the selection of the wine queen.

Film, poetry slam and music in the vaulted cellars of Alsfeld

Next week there will be another great program in the eight Alsfeld vaulted cellars: On Saturday, September 28, there will be an afternoon of the film “Wolf Gang” in the amazing Banana Cellar with popcorn, the making of the film and the original Blutssplitter. “Basement wonders in rhyme form” is the motto of the poetry slam at 8 pm. Six famous artists will perform under the direction of Stella Jantosca. Entry is free. You can also marvel at the historic beer slide in the cellar of the “zum Kotte” on Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm and visit the demonstration of “Live Dot Painting & Watercolor” in the cult shop that Carl Ramspeck from 12 p.m. On Sunday, in addition to live didgeridoo music in all the cellars, there will be a crime night at 6 pm with the best-selling author Alexander Hartung from Mannheim. Oktoberfest at the Steinhaus

SV Steinhaus invites you to the Oktoberfest at the Steinhaus sports field on Saturday, September 28. From 10 am, visitors can expect a colorful program with many football games and a variety children’s program with a bouncy castle and face painting. In addition to the senior teams that will play against Oberrode, the juniors and the “oldies” will also be active. Your physical health is taken care of: from 11 am there are grilled specialties, from 1:30 pm “Zwibbelploatz” and from 5 pm chicken and knuckle. Coffee and cake available from 2pm.

Citizens’ festival for the town’s twin anniversary

On Sunday, September 29, from 11 a.m. there will be a colorful program for old and young at the Alsfeld market square: starting with German-French-Danish specialties with XXL photo cakes to a town twinning photo box, a town twinning cinema, Boule in the Bürgergarten and giant cubes that you have to assemble in the market squares of Chaville and Alsfeld.
