The Colombian striker, Harold Preciado, did not join the Lagunero team by chance. Santos Laguna meticulously conducted their search to find the perfect fit.
Harold Preciado’s right foot left an indelible mark on Liga MX, earning him the title of scoring champion in the Opening 2023 season with 11 goals. This achievement was the result of his hard work since joining Santos Laguna.
“We immediately clicked, and when he arrived in the city, he quickly adapted. He literally stepped off the plane and scored a fantastic goal against Atlas. His impact goes beyond his professional performance; he also brings personal leadership to the team,” stated Dante Elizalde, President of Santos Laguna, in an interview with RÉCORD.
The 29-year-old Colombian, who has experience playing in his home country and China, convinced the board of directors of Santos Laguna not only with his football skills but also with his off-field qualities.
“Harold is known for his leadership. He is a decent guy, hardworking, a good father, a good friend, and a great teammate. He is cheerful, talkative, but also deeply committed. He likes to put in extra training sessions and always prioritizes the team,” added Elizalde.
