Guillermo Ochoa impressed with his success at winning the victory of Victoria del Salernitana in Serie A

Inzaghi Applauds Guillermo Ochoa’s Impressive Saves

The Salernitana, led by Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, continues to struggle to secure a win after 12 matches in the Serie A. However, Ochoa’s outstanding performance against Sassuolo, where he made at least 4 crucial saves that could have resulted in goals, received applause from Inzaghi.

Inzaghi’s Recognition of Ochoa’s Performance

In an interview with Italian media after the Sassuolo vs Salernitana match, Filippo Inzaghi praised Guillermo Ochoa’s performance, acknowledging that he was the one who “saved” the team from conceding more goals and settling for a 2-2 draw.

“Guillermo is definitely a reliable player. He saved us on multiple occasions. Sassuolo had several clear chances, but Ochoa stopped them and made good saves. He is like a superhero,” said Inzaghi.

Despite the new nickname given to Ochoa, it does not diminish his contribution to the team. On the contrary, it highlights his exceptional performance, especially against a strong team like Sassuolo, who have defeated top teams like Inter and Juventus. However, Inzaghi expressed disappointment that Salernitana let a 0-2 lead slip away and ended up with a draw.

Ochoa’s Impact on Salernitana

Guillermo Ochoa, who has earned a reputation as a beast in goalkeeping, made 6 saves out of 18 shots by Sassuolo. Salernitana heavily relies on Ochoa’s skills to have any hope of success in Serie A. So far, the team has struggled, conceding a total of 22 goals and sitting at the bottom of the league table with only 5 points.
