Grébadist’Club Wraps Up Season with Festivities and New Leadership

Grand Event Marks End of Season

On Monday, the Quénéah Guen sports complex, fondly known as the ‘headquarters’ of local sports enthusiasts, bore witness to an extraordinary celebration as the Grébadist’Club bid farewell to another successful season. The event was a vibrant fusion of music and dance, bringing together the club’s 82 licensed members for one last hurrah before the summer break.

New Leadership at the Helm

In time with the end of the season, the club has ushered in a new era with a fresh leadership team. comerc Antonio Romain Griveau takes over the presidency from Denis Didelot, with Marie-Céline Le Berre serving as secretary and Annaïk Le Moine Chaptote acting as the club’s communications director. Sébastien Vergnaud retains his position as treasurer, enthusiastically embracing the new dynamics of the office.

Growing Community Thrives in Mixed Environment

The Grébadist’Club boasts an impressive 82 licenses this year, with members ranging from the youthful to a senior member, Bertrand, aged 62, who continues to find joy and camaraderie on the court. Despite sharing the sports complex with other associations, including table tennis, the badminton club has carved out a niche for itself, fielding several teams that include a mixed category, as well as male and female teams brimming with departmentally ranked athletes.

Fun Fact!

In 2010, Bertrand became the club’s oldest licensed member. He has been a devoted and active player ever since!

As the club looks forward to next season, it does so with renewed enthusiasm and a determination to build on its successes. With a vibrant community, dedicated leadership, and a calendar full of exciting tournaments, the Grébadist’Club is set to maintain its status as a beloved pillar of the local sports scene.
