A good atmosphere at the Repsol Puertollano Recreational Club Christmas Tournament held in December with excellent tennis on the final day.

On Saturday, January 11 at 4:00 pm, the finals of the first tournament organized by the new management team of the Tennis Club were held at the Repsol Puertollano Recreational Club. There will be four teams competing and in all the finals there will be students from the Club Recreativo Repsol Puertollano Tennis school.

In the girls’ category, Lucía Piña played in the final against Helena Fernández, the latter won 1-6 3-6. In the men’s junior category, Pablo Zamora lost in the final 2-4 2-4 against fellow player Alonso Coleto.

Miguel Ángel Campo played in the junior final against Rodrigo Cañizares. The match was won by the player of Valdepeñas with the result of 3-6 5-7.

The most controversial finalists of the day were in the boys’ youth category. Marcos Fernández in front of his training partner Toni Almodóvar, all students of the Puertollano Repsol Recreativo Tennis Club. Three hours of play is a very good standard. It ended in a high-profile contest with a score of 5-7 6-4 16-14 in favor of Marcos.

After the match, the trophies were presented, attended by representatives of the affiliated companies and the President of Club Recreativo Javier Astilleros.

After that, the sports organization organized a special treat for the players and their friends.
