Good news for artistic gymnastics in Rancagua was known in the last few hours, where four athletes from the GIMVAR club of Rancagua managed to qualify for the South American Minor Tournament that will be held soon in Asunción, Paraguay.
In the selective, held in Santiago, there were eight athletes from the regional capital in competition, these were Elías Araya Escobar (level 1), Renato Acevedo Sepúlveda (level 1), Martín Lara Salinas (level 1), Maximiliano Ibarra Santander (level 2 ), Maximiliano de la Rosa Wagner (level 2), Eduard Schmittner Alarcón (level 3), Martín Muñoz Flores (level 3) and Agustín Espinoza Zavalla (youth).
Of them, those who advanced to the South American stage representing Chile are Agustín Espinoza, Eduard Schmittner, Maximiliano Ibarra and Elías Araya.
It should be noted that, for Agustín Espinoza – the oldest of the group -, this 2024 has been a year of extensive growth since he competed in the Bolivarian Games (Bolivia), in FIG Pacific Rim (Colombia), Pan American Artistic Gymnastics (Colombia) and now qualified for Asunción.
