Displaying their dominance, top-seeded Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys routed Southeastern Oklahoma State 19-5 in just seven innings, tying the conference tournament record for most runs scored. The Wonder Boys erupted for five runs in the fourth, eight in the fifth, and four more in the sixth to seal their victory. Maddox Long, Harding’s ace, pitched seven dominant innings, allowing just one earned run, en route to his eleventh win of the season.
Harding Pitching Shows Dominance in Win over Ouachita Baptist
In another impressive performance, fourth-seeded Harding Bisons defeated fifth-seeded Ouachita Baptist 11-1 behind a stellar outing from starter Maddox Long. Long scattered seven hits over six innings, striking out eight, and improving his record to 11-3. The Bisons got off to a quick start, scoring in four of the six innings they came to bat. Nathan Bowie led Harding’s offense, going 5-for-5 with three doubles and a triple.
Southern Arkansas Muleriders Edge Northwestern Oklahoma State in Nail-biter
In a tight contest, the Southern Arkansas Muleriders defeated the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers 3-1, thanks to a complete-game gem by Jeremy Adorno. Adorno scattered eight hits over nine innings, striking out seven, and improving his record to 9-5. The Muleriders scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth on a two-out, two-run double by Grant Roosma.
Henderson State Survives Arkansas-Monticello Comeback to Advance
In a back-and-forth affair, Henderson State Reddies held off Arkansas-Monticello Weevils’ comeback attempt to win 8-7. Thanks to a three-run homer by Cal Jones and a strong ninth inning from Peyton Byrd, Henderson State secured the victory despite leaving 12 men on base.
