Four Champions Emerge from Villamariense Municipal School at Interprovincial Judo Tournament
In a remarkable display of skill and determination, four champions from the Villamariense Municipal School dominated the Interprovincial Judo Tournament held in Marcos Juárez. The tournament, supervised by the Santa Fe Federation, showcased the exceptional talent of these young judokas.
Outstanding Performance by Villamariense Municipal School
Under the guidance of instructor Joel Castro, the Villamariense Municipal School sent a team of five students to the tournament, who showcased their prowess by securing three first places, one second place, and one third place.
Tournament Results
The results of the tournament were as follows:
- Champions: Kevin Esquivel, in the Juniors category (minus 73 kg); Joaquín González, in the cadets category (minus 81 kg); Tiara Tignani, in the children’s B category (minus 53 kg); and Santiago Billalba, in the Kiu Novicio category (minus 73 kg).
- Runner-up: Franco Dimare, in the Novice cadet category (minus 55 kg).
- Third place: Benicio Vianello, in the Promotional category (minus 28 kg).
In addition, Sara Toro Mollo participated in the non-competitive School category, showcasing her dedication and passion for the sport.
Preparing for the National Championship
This tournament served as a valuable opportunity for the judokas to refine their skills and techniques in preparation for the upcoming national championship. The closing national championship is scheduled to take place in Santiago del Estero from November 23 to 26, where these talented athletes will represent their school and compete against the best in the country.
