Ware was initially offered a plea deal by the prosecution, but Judge Brian Warren warned that refusing it could result in a life sentence if the trial continued.
Pomaski’s Disappearance and Death
Taylor Pomaski, 29, was last seen on April 25, 2021, at a party in her home in Spring, Texas. She remained missing for months until human remains were discovered in a ditch in north Harris County in December 2021. These remains were confirmed to be Pomaski’s in April 2022.
Ware’s Violent Act
Court documents revealed that Ware killed Pomaski using a knife, a blunt object, strangulation, and then burned her body.
Concurrent Sentences
Ware will serve his 30-year sentence concurrently with any sentences for drug and weapons charges he faces separately.
Ware’s NFL Career
Kevin Ware played in the NFL for two years, appearing in 16 games between the Washington Redskins (2003) and San Francisco 49ers (2004). His professional football career was short-lived.
