On Sunday, the 11th round of the First ŽNL PSŽ was completed. BSK and Požega picked up important points in the battle for the top of the table.
SLAVEN(G) – BSK BUK – 4:6
In a very exciting match, BSK won over Slaven with a score of 4:6. The first goal was scored by Matej Blašković already in the 7th minute, and just a minute later Josip Hel made it 0:2 for the visitors. Slaven came back with a goal by Petr Jozić in the 19th minute, and went to rest with a score of 1:2. In the second half, Slaven turned the game around – Domagoj Buturac equalized in the 57th minute, and Antun Soldo put Slaven in the lead from a penalty kick. Josip Mušković restored the advantage to BSK with two quick goals in the 83rd and 86th minutes, and a minute later Marko Hruškar made it 3:5. Damir Anđal reduced the score to 4:5 in the 88th minute, while Josip Jakovljević sealed the victory for BSK in the 93rd minute. Gradac remained penultimate, while these points gave BSK an important advantage in the battle for the top of the table.
– Today we tried to oppose a quality team of BSK, but today we did not manage to get a positive result either. We went into the break with a one-goal deficit, but we managed to come back and turn the score in our favor. However, we squandered that advantage in the last 15 minutes. I especially praise my team for today’s approach, and I wish luck to the opponent NK BSK from Buk in the continuation of the competition – pointed out the coach of Slaven, Darko Čengić.
– Congratulations to the boys on the victory! There was everything today – from a great start to a disastrous 15 minutes in which we lost. In the end, a deserved win in my opinion, but I’m not happy with a lot of things because at one point it looked like a general horror. We respected the opponent regardless of his place in the table, because we know that this is a local derby. The approach simply has to change, or we will change something else in the future. GRANICAR (B) – POŽEGA – 0:2
Požega achieved a valuable away victory over Graničar with a score of 2:0. Bruno Romić put Požega in the lead in the 32nd minute, and Marko Tanjić set the final score in the 85th minute. Bučje remains in last place, while Požega is third with 21 points.
– I have to congratulate my boys on the job done, considering that the opponent did not have a single shot on goal. They had maybe 1-2 corners. It’s a pity that we missed a lot, but the most important thing is to win. We made a few mistakes in the handover, and we have to fix the passing game. Some players seem to have forgotten to come to the game, but all in all, the three points are there. Congratulations to the host for the hospitality and the fair and correct game.
