In 2025 the roar of the engines will be heard on the track and also in the cinema. Here are the most anticipated films of the year to see at the cinema which feature drivers, cars and motorbikes. The first on the list is F1 with Brad Pitt, filmed in real time during the real GPs and involving the various drivers and the FIA. There’s also a biopic about the brothers Maseratiwho founded the iconic car manufacturer e in 1914 Idolson MotoGP, with Claudio Santamaria and Ana Mena.

Il film Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) is set in the world of Formula 1 and sees Brad Pitt in the role of Sonny Hayes, a former Formula 1 driver from the 90s forced to retire after a serious accident. Years later, his friend Ruben, owner of the ApxGp team, convinces him to return to the track to mentor the promising driver Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). The collaboration between the two soon turns into a strong rivalry, testing their limits both on and off the circuit. The film includes footage taken during real Grands Prix to ensure an authentic experience. F1 will be released in theaters on June 27.

Idols by Mat Whitecross, with Claudio Santamaria and the Spanish singer Ana Mena, is set in the MotoGP world championship. The world of racing and speed act as a backdrop to tell the story of the relationship between a father and a son. Edu (Óscar Casas) is a particularly aggressive young driver who no team trusts. Eli, team leader of the Aspar Team in Moto2, offers him an opportunity on the condition that his father, Antonio Belard (Santamaria), trains him. Edu hasn’t seen his father for many years, a former driver who retired from the tracks after causing the death of a motorcyclist during a race. Although Edu hates his father for abandoning him, he knows that only with him will he be able to realize his dream. The aspiring promise then decides to submit to Antonio’s rigid discipline, which includes, among other things, putting love aside. But when Edu meets Luna (Ana Mena) he falls in love.

The film tells the story of the Maserati brothers (Alfieri, Ettore and Ernesto) and their passion for four wheels, which led them to found the iconic car company in 1914. The film explores their journey, from the first creations in a garage in Bologna, to becoming a globally recognized luxury brand, competing with rivals such as Ferrari and Lamborghini. Maserati: The Brothers is directed by Oscar winner Bobby Moresco. The cast includes Anthony Hopkins as Italian financier Luca Antonelli, Michele Morrone as Alfieri Maserati, Salvatore Esposito as Bindo Maserati, Andy García (Mr. Rossini) and Jessica Alba.
