The Minister of Security, Mahamadou SANA, received his Ghanaian counterpart, Albert Kan-DAPAAH, on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Upon leaving the hearing, Commissioner Sana’s host indicated that he had come to reiterate his country’s commitment to supporting Burkina Faso in the fight against insecurity.

This support, according to him, is self-evident, since the two brother countries share a common border of more than 630 km.

Also, the Ghanaian envoy confided that his country will plead with international institutions such as the African Union, ECOWAS and the United Nations, to obtain their support for the coasts of Burkina Faso in the reconquest of its territory.

The day before this hearing, it was the Russian ambassador in Ouagadougou who announced his country’s support for Burkina Faso.
