The salary of FIFA President Gianni Infantino has increased fourfold since he took the helm of soccer’s governing body in 2016, according to a report by Le Monde.
In 2025, Infantino’s compensation totaled €5.27 million, a staggering rise from his initial €1.28 million earnings in 2016.

Le Monde reported that Infantino received a €1.29 million bonus for hosting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. His enhanced salary also comes amidst FIFA’s growing revenue, fueled by various factors like increased marketing and broadcasting rights.

Infantino’s current term expires on March 30, 2027. In a controversial decision, FIFA ruled that his tenure from 2016 to 2019 would not count as a full term, allowing him to run for re-election in 2027.

Infantino’s salary has grown significantly, from €1.28 million in 2016 to €5.27 million in 2025, a 330% increase. His 2022 bonus for the Qatar World Cup accounted for a substantial portion of his total compensation.
