The Ferrari driver has collected 100 points on the urban circuits, the only one to keep up is Verstappen. And in the next round of the World Championship the Monegasque will try again
One win, two second places and two third places. These are Leclerc’s record numbers that earn the Monegasque the title of “king of the streets”, king of street circuits. And, in fact, when it comes to walls, tight corners and bumpy roads, no one is like Charles: between Saudi Arabia, Australia, Miami, Monaco, Canada and Baku, the Ferrari driver has collected 100 points, missing the podium only in Montreal. In short, looking to Singapore, the next stop on the circus, with a smile is more than legitimate: between the kerbs of Marina Bay, the Monegasque has never won and the intention is to leave behind the disappointing second place in Baku, being able to count on an SF-24 with some new features at the front.

And the others? The only one to come close to Leclerc’s numbers is Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has taken two wins, in Jeddah and Montreal, for a total of 94 points. For the world champion, Singapore, where he finished fifth last year, risks being an important watershed: another disappointing result, after Monza and Baku, would seriously jeopardize his world championship hopes. And the one hoping for a misstep by the world champion is Lando Norris. The Englishman, in the world championship as well as in our special ranking, follows his Dutch friend-rival closely: strong from the victory in Miami, Lando has collected 87 points on the street circuits, 7 sevens more than his teammate Piastri.

Only fifth is the other Ferrari driver, Carlos Sainz, who after the victory in Melbourne was no longer able to keep up with his teammate between kerbs and walls, stopping his total at 54 points. The Spaniard is followed by the trio Russell (52), Perez (36), Hamilton (32), in a fight similar to the one that is emerging in the world championship standings. Closing out the rankings are Alonso (32), an excellent sixth also in Baku, and Yuki Tsunoda. The Japanese driver scored points in three of the six events held on city circuits, demonstrating, with the 17 points collected, a certain ability when it comes to driving on the limit.
