International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women Kicks Off with Poignant Event
On November 25th at 11:00 AM, the Ibleo Shopping Center in Ragusa will host a unique and powerful event to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The centerpiece of this event will be the inauguration of a red bench, a symbol of remembrance and resistance against femicide.
An Artistic and Political Statement
Laterna the event, the dance school Most of King Dance Studio will present an evocative performance set to the song “Baghdad”. Five dancers, clad in red costumes, will interpret the drama of femicide with their movements, highlighting the need to keep the conversation about violence against women loud and clear.
Honoring Antonella Alfano and All Women Victims of Femicide
The red bench will be dedicated to the memory of Antonella Alfano, a victim of femicide, and all women who have lost their lives to gender-based violence. The inauguration aims to transform the shopping center into a shared space for reflection, memory, and collective responsibility.
