ROME – Top Canadian tennis player Felix Auger-Aliassime has withdrawn from the ongoing Italian Open tournament on a shocking note.
“Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal withdrew from the tournament on Saturday,”
leaving his opponents and fans alike surprised. The 21-year-old was scheduled to face Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild on the same day. However, no reason was provided for his sudden withdrawal. Bolivian Hugo Dellien stepped in to replace Auger-Aliassime and faced Seyboth Wild in the main draw instead.
