Falconara Basket – Pallacanestro Titano 66-74
Big win for the Titans in Falconara. This is the first away victory, which came 66-74, and allowed the biancazzurri to climb 4 points in the standings. The whole group made good contributions in this external blitz, with Fusco and Felici leading scorers with 17 and double figures in points as well for Bomba (13) and Macina (10). The game was always conducted with authority and Pallacanestro Titano was able to complete it with coolness and excellent basketball in decisive moments. What was noticeable was Vittori’s return after injury.
THE NEWS. Amazing start to the game for Macina and his teammates, authors of four triples and good circulation of the ball. This approach allowed our team to rule right from the start and, in the 10th minute, to achieve a positive 14-20. The hosts, however, did not give up and reacted quickly, moving within a possession and responding blow by blow to the visitors’ attempts to create a break. The important partial for the Titans was not realized and the Marche defense dominated the second quarter, where the teams were in the locker room at 32-34.
After the break the trend did not change, with Pallacanestro Titano, however, good as always in keeping control of the operations, traveling around the double-digit margin and going to halftime in the third quarter of 44-52. At home, Falconara tried everything and the Titans fought back. They do it with great determination and complexity, scoring important baskets and never lowering their level of attention. Matteo Botteghi’s triple for +8 was decisive, three minutes from the bell, giving the team peace of mind and allowing them to fly to the end to 66-74.
