Ryder Cup 2025: Sepp Straka and Shane Lowry Shine in European Ranking

The European ranking for the Ryder Cup 2025 at Bethpage (New York) is heating up, with notable performances from Sepp Straka and Shane Lowry at the Truist Championship. The sixth event on the PGA Tour provided valuable points, moving several golfers up the leaderboard.

Straka Jumps 15 Places, Lowry Moves Up

Following his victory at the Truist Championship, Sepp Straka has climbed 15 places in the European ranking, securing the fifth position with 942.73 points. This impressive performance has also helped him edge out Justin Rose, who now sits in sixth place with 870.04 points.

Meanwhile, Shane Lowry, who finished second at the Truist Championship, has gained three places and now shares the second position with 1,124.18 points, ahead of Rasmus Højgaard (1,023.03 pts) and Tyrrell Hatton (990.55 pts).

Top 6 Qualifiers for Bethpage

The current top six in the European ranking have secured their spots for the Ryder Cup 2025. The ranking will conclude on August 24, 2025, following the British Masters. The captain, Luke Donald, will then select the remaining six players to complete the European team.
