The group led by brothers Antonio, Fiorenzo, Gaspare and Giancarlo Lucchetta bids farewell to the world of two wheels. A company that has made the history of amateur cycling in the world and launched many champions: over 1,500 successes on the road, 140 young people accompanied to professionalism, 8 world titles, 3 European and 30 Italian titles
Since that now distant day in 1982 when the Lucchetta brothers, owners of the Euromobil group (high-end furniture and kitchens) and Egidio Fior met and signed an agreement in the name of their passion for cycling, 43 seasons have passed: an era marked by extraordinary successes for the Treviso-based company, which has helped write some of the most beautiful pages of Italian amateur cycling in the world. Now the Euromobil group has announced its exit from the world of cycling at the end of the season. “For the Euromobil Group, with the companies Zalf, Euromobil and Désirée, the time has come to say goodbye to the world of cycling – reads a press release -. New challenges await us on a global level and we have decided to strengthen our presence in other areas. Cycling will forever remain in our hearts, as will all the faces of the boys who have worn the white-red-green jersey in these 43 years”.
The results
—
There have been 43 seasons studded with over 1,500 road victories, more than 140 young people accompanied to professionalism, 8 world titles (Gualdi, Pontoni, Figueras, Basso…), 3 European and 30 Italian titles: these are the numbers of the most successful team in the history of Italian Under 23 cycling. A hotbed of young talents that over the years, thanks to the passion and generosity of the brothers Antonio, Fiorenzo, Gaspare and Giancarlo Lucchetta, has become a true heritage of Italian sport.
The big names
—
In these four decades, three colors have been enough: white, red and green, with the now iconic layout, to give unique and indelible emotions to enthusiasts and fans of two wheels. Over 400 young promises of Italian cycling have worn this prestigious jersey, of which almost half, thanks to their talent and the teachings of a professional and cutting-edge staff, have punched the ticket to professionalism. Names that have become famous, capable of winning everything like Maurizio Fondriest, Gianni Faresin, Paolo Savoldelli, Michele Scarponi, Alessandro Bertolini, Marzio Bruseghin, Alessandro Ballan, Damiano Cunego, Domenico Pozzovivo, Sonny Colbrelli, Gianni Moscon, Alberto Dainese, Samuele Battistella and Davide De Pretto. Impossible, then, to forget the world champions: Mirco Gualdi (1990), Daniele Pontoni (1992), Cristian Salvato (1993 and 1994), Giuliano Figueras (1995 and 1996), Kurt Asle Arvesen (1997) and Ivan Basso (1998). To which we must add the European champions Manuel Quinziato (2001) and Manlio Moro (2022 and 2023).
the decision

A long winning ride, that of Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior, which, however, will come to an end at the end of 2024: the brothers Antonio, Fiorenzo, Giancarlo and Gaspare Lucchetta have chosen to follow a different strategy. “Every great story has a beginning and an end. In over 40 years of cycling we believe we have reached important goals that fans like us can only dream of. Our athletes have given us extraordinary satisfaction, not only while wearing our jersey but also when they became professionals: their successes have moved us and filled us with pride. Today cycling, especially amateur cycling, has changed a lot but, despite this, we have remained faithful to our mission by continuing to choose and develop some of the best talents in Italian and international cycling”.

The company’s president, Egidio Fior, added: “Together with the Lucchetta family we have experienced some of the best moments of our lives, we have overcome difficult challenges and celebrated extraordinary goals. I would like to thank the Lucchetta brothers and the entire Euromobil Group for the support they have provided us in these 43 years of activity and for having shared with us a path of human and sporting growth that has represented a model for many other sporting and corporate realities”. The brothers Antonio, Fiorenzo, Gaspare and Giancarlo Lucchetta and Egidio Fior thank all the sporting and technical directors who have succeeded one another, and in particular Luciano Rui, Luciano Camillo and Gianni Faresin.
