Lonnie Walker IV and the NBA have a very special relationship. The guard’s minutes gradually decreased over his last four seasons in the league, to the point where he was cut by the Boston Celtics before the start of the current season.

Without a clear place in the NBA, Walker moved to Europe after signing with Zalgiris Kaunas. With the Lithuanian team he made a remarkable performance in the Euroleague, where he averaged 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and a PIR of 11.4.

On the other side of the ocean they have not forgotten him and there are already several teams watching him. According to journalist Marc Stein, the Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics have shown interest in him. Among them, the people of Colorado seem to be following him more closely, because the potential desire to include him in the squad was already shared in November.

Walker, who just turned 26, signed his contract with Zalgiris last October, which includes an NBA exit clause. Therefore, the franchise that wants to replace his services must pay the equivalent of $450,000.

In his six seasons in the NBA, Walker played 322 games, 88 of which he started, for the San Antonio Spurs. Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. For his career, he averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 20.3 minutes per game.
