The players who will be responsible for the future of the Samsung Lions received meaningful advice from their seniors.
15 2025 Samsung Lions rookie players completed their induction ceremony on the 4th.
On the 4th, the Samsung Lions held a new player signing event at three locations, including Gyeongsan Ball Park, Daegu Samsung Lions Park, and Daegu Inter-Burgo Hotel. Nearly 80 people, including new players, their families, and club executives, attended the event.
The new players gathered at Gyeongsan Ball Park at 11 a.m., toured the baseball field, and were assigned rooms to use in the future. Afterwards, the new players had lunch as a family and held a meeting at the Gyeongsan Ball Park auditorium where general manager Lee Jong-yeol introduced the team to the players.

At this event, General Manager Lee Jong-yeol said, “I think the fans here have high expectations for next year’s new players. There is a lot of talk about appointing good players. “From now on, it is important for everyone to prove their abilities on the same level,” he said.
In the afternoon, the new players moved to Daegu Samsung Lions Club and toured the locker room and history museum, then watched the senior players’ welcoming speeches on the electronic display board. Catcher Kang Min-ho said, “From now on, it’s a fight to become a star. “Never let down your guard and I hope you can achieve your dreams by getting in good shape as a rookie,” he encouraged. Pitcher Won Tae-in said, “I hope we can play baseball together at La Park as soon as possible.” Outfielder Koo Ja-wook said, “I hope to become a professional player,” and Park Byeong-ho said, “Even if I fall into despair and disappointment, I hope to overcome crises and become a player who can play baseball for a long time.”

Afterwards, the players moved to the Inter-Burgo Hotel, where events began at 6 p.m., including a welcome speech by team owner and CEO Yoo Jeong-geun, dinner, an announcement of new players’ aspirations to join the team, and a congratulatory performance by the cheering squad. CEO Yoo Jeong-geun asked the company to always do its best for new players who are making their first start in life as professional athletes and professionals.
Bae Chan-seung, a first-round rookie pitcher who attended the induction ceremony, said, “It’s more than I expected because we prepared so much. “It’s great to be here in person, and I can’t wait to start training,” he said. Infielder Cha Seung-jun, a third-round rookie, said, “I am definitely motivated because the general manager gave me good words.”
In particular, on this day, new players were given a Galaxy Z Fold 6 and a large commemorative uniform frame as gifts.
The new players stayed one night at the hotel and entered Gyeongsan Ball Park on the morning of the 5th.
