Dax Unveils State-of-the-Art Tennis Padel Clubhouse: A New Era for Sports Enthusiasts

The city of Dax has officially inaugurated its brand new Tennis Padel clubhouse, a 400,000 euro project that promises to revolutionize the sports scene in the region. The state-of-the-art facility, named USDAX Tennis Padel clubhouse, was inaugurated on July 15.
A rich history and a bright future
Recalling the city’s tennis history, Mayor Julien Dubois noted, “From the first two clay courts in the Cuyès district in 1934 to the club of the Baignots in the city center, and then the creation of the Sablar complex in the early 1980s, this project marks a new chapter in Dax’s sports story.”
What the new clubhouse offers
- A main room with a bar and giant screen for sports broadcasts
- Changing rooms and showers modular to the colors of USD
- Soon to be enhanced with pickleball tracks, following a successful Landes Citizen Budget proposal
SourCéo Tennis Tournament during inauguration
The inauguration coincided with the SourCéo tennis tournament, which welcomed young and adult players alike. The finals are set for July 19 and 23, with a high-level plateau pending.
Local players shine in Masters P250 of the Landes
The tournament was not the only exciting event to take place in Dax recently. On June 29, the Masters P250 of the Landes was hosted on the brand new Padel courts, with the Dacquoise pair Fabrice Grandmougin and Fabien Laussucq emerging victorious, winning the title of Champions of the Landes for their home town.
