The Cybercrime Brigade (BCLCC) has put an end to the activities of a group of alleged blackmailers. Composed of three individuals, all residing in the city of Bobo Dioulasso, this group operated on social networks through several fake profiles. It was through the Facebook profiles “ANGE Patricia”, “Faozia OUEDRAOGO”, “Kadi-Ouedraogo”, “Kadi Belem” that the group baited its victims, mostly men, with friendship requests.

Once these requests are accepted, one of the members suggests a romantic relationship with the victim by asking her to share compromising content (intimate photos or videos) of herself or to participate in an intimate video call.

Questioned by the BCLCC, the members of the group admitted the facts with which they are accused.
