Havana, Nov 2.- All Cuban representatives reached the quarterfinals in the mixed event of men and women at the WTT Feeder Caracas 2024, an event included in the Table Tennis Contender section.
The Olympic pair of Daniela Fonseca and Jorge Moisés Campos won 3-0 – in just 15 minutes of the match – including players Nathacha Mata and Erick Pérez, and they want to go to the semifinals with a victory over the Chinese Xiankin Ning and Ziyu Zhu.
Although it is not one of the big Asian giants, the game should be very difficult for the Antilleans, who if they progress they will face the team of Argentina or India in the next stage.
In this way, Estela Crespo and Andy Pereira got back into the top eight, after defeating Mariangel Díaz and Yeifrer Soteldo 3-0. In the quarterfinals they will face Indians Harmeet Desai and Krittwika Roy on the other side of the table.
